The Sturmhaubitze 42 (StuH.42) Ausf. G was a powerful variation of the StuG III series, equipped with a 10.5 cm leFH 18 howitzer to serve as a dedicated infantry support vehicle. First introduced in 1943, the StuH.42 was developed to provide direct fire support, especially against entrenched positions and infantry, complementing the StuG III’s anti-tank role.
