USS Theodore Roosevelt, “the Big Stick”, is a Nimitz-class carrier commissioned in 1986 that flew strikes in Desert Storm and launched the opening raids of Operation Enduring Freedom in October 2001. Metal Earth’s expert-level kit builds her from 121 laser-etched steel parts, folded and tabbed together without glue or paint, into an 8-inch model with the angled flight deck and island.

Was launched in 1984 and first saw action during Operation Desert Storm in 1991. In 2001 on the evening of October 4th, the carrier launched the initial strike of Operation Enduring Freedom against al-Qaeda in Afghanistan from the North Arabian Sea. The ship is 1,092 feet long and holds up to 90 fixed wing and helicopters.
